Our general rule of thumb is:
👉 Colds / Flu/Covid: Stay away until the symptoms have gone
👉 Diarrhoea: Stay away, wait until 48 hours after the symptoms have stopped.
👉 Injury: Wait until any redness or heat in the area has subsided. We can work around the area if needed, just not on the injury itself. If in doubt please call for advice.
👉 Unsure: Please call us. 24-hour notice is ideal but we understand it's not always possible.
Life doesn't always go as planned, and we'll do our best to work with you!
We kindly ask that you give us 24-hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We’ll be happy to help you reschedule your appointment if something comes up. Any appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will have to be paid for.

We recommend loose fitting clothing that can easily be changed out of and advice against sports bra’s as they are difficult to work on.
Try and relax as much as possible. Follow your therapist's instructions and be sure to communicate your preferences, discomfort or concerns so we can tailor your treatment.
Please do ask questions. All our therapists are trained and can explain what and why they are doing what they are doing. If they don’t know the answer to your question, they will find out for you.
When people hear “physical therapy” or “rehabilitation”, they often imagine repetitive exercises or being pushed through gym-style workouts — but that’s not what we do here.
Injury and Rehabilitation sessions are a tailored, hands-on approach to your recovery. Here’s what to expect:
🔍 Assessment First
We start with a thorough chat and assessment to understand your symptoms, history, movement patterns, and lifestyle. This helps us get to the root of the issue — not just treat the symptoms.
👐 Hands-On Treatment
Your session may include manual therapy such as massage, joint mobilisation, trigger point work, or myofascial release — designed to relieve pain, improve movement, and support healing.
🏃 Targeted Movement (Not a Gym Workout!)
We guide you through specific, purposeful movements or exercises – chosen to support your body’s recovery, not a one-size-fits-all routine.
🧠 Education is Key
We’ll explain what’s going on in your body and why you’re experiencing certain symptoms. You’ll leave with clear advice, rehab tips, and strategies to manage and improve your condition outside the clinic.
💡 Our goal? To help you feel better, move better, and stay better.
Yes, you are welcome to bring a friend, family member, or carer if it helps you feel more comfortable
Most treatments are painless and relaxing. Some treatments like sport massages / therapy, may create some pain. It should be more of a discomfort rather than severe pain and will be within your personal pain threshold. As therapists we work with your bodies natural responses, aiding in pain relief and/or relaxation. Please tell your therapist if the discomfort is too much.
Occasionally, symptoms may feel slightly worse before they improve. This is a natural response as your body begins to heal and realign.
This depends on your condition and goals.
General rule of thumb: follow your therapists advice!
➡️ Some issues are resolved with one treatment. Once the issue is resolved, it's always a good idea to come back for another treatment to reinforce what the therapist has done.
➡️ Some problems take several treatments to resolve. If you are working on a specific pain/injury/rehabilitation your therapist will recommend a treatment plan that will usually require a once a week treatment along with exercises to do at home. Treatments will then be spaced out further as you make progress.
➡️ Regular sessions help maintain relief and prevent re-injury. Maintenance appointment every 4-6 weeks keep clients at their best!. It keeps aches and pains at bay and prevent your injury/rehabilitation efforts from going to waste and having to start from scratch. It's great to improve mobility and range of movement and much more. We can also guide you on home exercises and lifestyle changes to complement your care.
Yes, mild soreness can occur for a day or two after a treatment. This is part of the healing process as your body adapts.
A Treatment may benefit you if you’re experiencing:
🔸 Persistent pain or stiffness
🔸 Reduced range of motion or restricted movement
 🔸 recurring injuries
 🔸 stress or fatigue
🔸 Discomfort affecting your daily life or workouts
Prevention is key to avoiding bigger issues later on.
